Minimum Qualifications:

• At Mobile Infirmary, MSW
• At Thomas Hospital, a Master’s degree in the mental health field from an accredited school
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills 
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and adjust effectively to change 

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

At Mobile Infirmary, Licensed or license eligible in Alabama as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW).  If license eligible, license will be required within six months of entry into the position.

At Thomas Hospital, LPC, LMFT, or LICSW licensed in Alabama.  LICSW must have PIP or must obtain PIP within 6 months of entry into position

Desired Qualifications:

• At Mobile Infirmary, LCSW
• Demonstrates knowledge of counseling theory and therapeutic techniques/interventions
• Working knowledge of de-escalation of hostile individuals by use of therapeutic interventions
• LCSW

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and implements comprehensive therapy and/or social work services to assigned patients.
