Minimum Qualifications: 

Associate’s degree in healthcare related field

3 of the most recent 5 years working in a leadership role in a healthcare setting

Licensure, Registration, Certification: 

One of the following:

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and CSPDT*
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) and CRCST*

*If hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) must have one of the following within 6 months of placement into position.

• Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)

Desired Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field

Leadership experience in sterile processing setting

Manages the overall operations of a sterile processing department in order to provide comprehensive, quality services which meets Infirmary Health’s (IH's) standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
