Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 3 of most recent 12 months experience with the proper use of endoscopic troubleshooting and maintenance                          

Working knowledge of decontamination processes as related to endoscopic equipment and surgical instruments

Experience with the set up of all needed equipment for the endoscopy procedure

Licensure, Registration, Certification

BLS

One of the following:

• Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) offered by IAHCAMM/Healthcare Sterile Processing Association

Gastroenterology Technical Specialist (GTS) offered by SGNA

This certified position troubleshoots, maintains, and cleans endoscopy video equipment ensuring readiness as needed for procedures.  Prepares, maintains, and assembles instruments needed for endoscopic procedures, ensuring availability, functionality, and cleanliness. Serves as a technical resource to internal and external other department staff.
